Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Brethren,

I urge you to consider all of the options on the table. Our voting rights extend not only to the General and the Marauder, but to the position of the boss itself.

I understand that I don't know many of you, and to be honest I'm not entirely sure that I am the right man for the job, but what I do know is that Cullen is not.

Many of you are new to the Lagoon, recruits from Cullen's sudden fervor to strengthen our numbers. What I want you to know is that you are only replacements for our brothers that he has left to languish as prisoners of the Peak. Prisoners that include his own son. Rather than take responsibility for his failure to protect them, he seeks to replace them instead.

You are expendable to him.

As if this was not bad enough, he seems to possess no compassion for the others that reside in our care. While I know that I am biased in the case of Aallotar, the callous way he dealt with her is despicable. Demanding that a mare give up her firstborn son in exchange for her freedom is inexcusable, especially considering that the mare was never meant to be a prisoner in the first place. This Lagoon is not supposed to be a den of criminals. The other herds are not supposed to react in fear and hatred to our presence.

We are better than this.

Lacking other alternatives, I see no other option but to run for the role of boss myself.
