Even as she passed the invisible border lines between herd lands, the tobiano mare took a deep breath, bracing herself for the days ahead. She knew that Warsaw re-claimed these lands. She could tell by the scent. She didn't know who else might have already come back, but she could smell Ironclad's faint scent around the herd lands, which meant his mares had come back as well. Snorting, she tossed her head and reared up, letting out a bugle for anyone. Her fore legs pawed at the air in front of her, her head tucked neatly to her chest as she looked over the place she would make into a home, her home. Valka would always be her best friend, but this was the new world she would conquer. She needed to do this on her own and leave Valka to be able to spread her wings. Glancing back over her shoulder as she came down, the mare looked for the stallion who had come to see her, the one who was supposed to be her equal, her betrothed. As soon as she saw him, Medusa snorted and tossed her head before trotting toward him. She pranced around him in a circle, sizing him up. The stallion was growing, developing. His muscles were becoming more pronounced, his head more chiseled and handsome. It was no doubt that Ironclad would be a strong stallion, but could he be her equal? Only time would tell. Flattening her ears, Medusa reached out, aiming to nip at his shoulder and give him a good pinch even as her eyes twinkled devilishly. "Race with me." She challenged him before taking off across the inlet. Her tail was up like a banner, her neck arched as she snorted and bucked, enjoying the day and the run. Would he race at her side? She wanted to know if he was willing to back up the courage it must have taken to come after her in the bay. How much had he truly grown?
