live life to the fullest Persephone, open

She didn't know how she did it....but she did it. After her talk with Roheryn, Creed knew she needed to figure out how she was going to get back to the forest. She owed it to the herd that had nothing but help her since she first arrived on the islands. She needed to get back and say her proper good bye's to Persephone and Evren and her new friend, Aponi. Hannah was no longer there and she didn't know what happened to her and her little growing family but she owed it to the rest of them. She wanted to be with Roheryn. Her heart leapt in her chest at just the thought of the pale paint stallion. He stole her heart and she knew she wanted to be with him in every way she could. That meant leaving the forest, but it didn't have to be permanent. If she could get over her fear of the ocean, she could come to visit, right? Surely, Persephone would allow that. The forest was like her family, after all. But first, it took a few days for Creed to figure out her fear.

The water was cold and the wind was picking up in the fall months. Her hormones were going crazy and if anything, her body was telling her to stick close to Roheryn, to go back to him. But she needed to do this first. He was patient and understanding, allowing her to take her leave to go back to the forest, trusting that she would return to him. He was really too good to her, but it was all the more reason Creed knew she loved him and would love him as long as she lived. It took plenty of self pep talks and angry words thrown at the waves before her but finally Creed plunged head first into the water and decided she wasn't turning back until her hooves hit the island of Luthien. She had a few minor panic attacks on the way, especially when someone unknown would touch her leg as she swam, but when nothing pulled her under or bit her, she would tell herself to breathe and keep swimming. Soon enough, the island of Luthien was in sight and she took a deep breath of relief. Just a little longer.

As soon as her hooves hit the wet sand of the forest and she looked into the familiar landscape of her home, a wide grin spread across her face. Throwing her head back, she shouted her victory to the heavens. She'd done it! She faced her fear and came out on top! Glancing over her shoulder into the darkness of the ocean, she quivered when she thought about going back, but her eyes narrowed in determination. That's exactly what she was going to do. She would return to Roheryn, just like she said she would. But first, she had to find Persephone. Throwing her head up again, she called out for her friend and leader before trotting further inland, hoping to find her. She wondered if she would find Evren or Aponi, even Maeve, as well. She would have liked to say good bye to all the familiar faces that made this place home.
