It hadn't been long since they'd given into their teasing and found a quiet place on the way to the Inlet to get some release. She knew it would be some time before she started to show but Monster swore she could already feel the stirrings of new life in her womb. She sighed as she moved to a new patch of grass. Yes, the last time birthing Loupgaru had been hard, but she was strong enough to take it. Did she want to go through that again? Not in a million years. But she'd survived it and she could survive again. It's what she was built for, after all. Surviving. The painted mare thought about what she saw when they got to the inlet. Warsaw was a reflection of his past self, a ghost living in a brittle vessel. He looked like he was pleading for death from the first moment he laid eyes on them and for a moment, Monster had felt pity. She stood by the idea that what Rougaru did...he did it out of mercy. She knew others might not see it that way, Warsaw's own son and new king of the inlet among them. They wouldn't understand the goodness of what Rougaru did for Warsaw, of the peace he allowed the older gray stallion. Maybe in time, but not soon enough, she was afraid. She feared the repercussions of what was to come. In the past, she might not have blinked at the thought of it. She was strong. She was ready to draw blood alongside her wolf, but she had Loupgaru and soon, this new little one, to think of. She wouldn't have them in the path of another war. She wouldn't risk it. Sighing, the mare grabbed some more grass to eat, but her thoughts were on anything but food at the moment. She still didn't know where Medusa was. Had she returned to Ironclad and the inlet or did she go somewhere else to live? Would she ever tell her parents she was okay?
