i do what i want

He found himself going to the mainland more and more as the pull of Fall kept him restless. It was hard being in the badlands, always surrounded by the handful or so mares that Roheryn kept and knowing he couldn't do anything with them. Not that he would ever try. He might be a rogue by nature but he tried to be a good guy and Roheryn was a friend. Sure, the girls were pretty but they were driving him crazy right now so he had to get away. He could have his own family if he wanted, a herd of his own, but he wasn't sure what kind of responsibility he wanted. He'd always run from that kind of stuff before. In the past, he challenged a stallion just because he didn't like the way he treated the mares and when he won, it made him the lead stallion. But Kamekaze never wanted that title.....so he ran. Yeah, it was wrong. The stupid fool he beat probably came right back to claim them, but Kamekaze didn't want what he had. He just wanted to make things right.

As he got older, he decided having some power wasn't so bad though. As Vizier of the badlands, he could still pretty much do whatever he wanted and he didn't have to worry about actually running the herd. That was Roheryn's job. He just helped with protection and stuff. Not so bad, right? Even thought the only stallion that had come to try to take from the badlands herd so far had come after Kamekaze himself. Weird, right? The buckskin stallion still couldn't put his head around a stallion trying to take another stallion. He shook his head of such thoughts though as he swam up onto the shores of the Falls and shook out his coat. Throwing up his head, he let out a whinny to see if any would answer before he took off in a gallop across the fields. It didn't take him long to pick out the pretty blue eyed mare with her golden spots. His lips tugged into a smirk as he slowed to a trot. She was humming behind a waterfall, all but asleep looking.

Kamekaze didn't know what she was humming but it was enchanting in its own right and he found his head lowering as if in a trance, his ears drooping a little as he relaxed to the melody. He slowed to a walk as he got closer to the pool of water. Making his way around the edge of the water, he stopped a few feet away from her and lowered his head more to her level before speaking. "That's a beautiful song."
