It felt good even to be in the Bay again. This place did serve as a home for her for weeks when she ran away from Ironclad and the Inlet. There was a beauty here no one could deny, a magical sense about the place. It filled her lungs with hope for the future and she loved seeing the herd flourishing under Valka's rule. The chestnut may be small, but she was large in all the ways that mattered. She fought ferociosly for her members and she as giving even when she had next to nothing to give. Medusa had taken all these lessons back with her to the Inlet and hoped to use them wisely just as her friend did. She hoped to be as good a leader to her herd members and not let them down.

When the pony mare was visible on the horizon, Medusa threw her head with a whinny of excitement, rearing up with a laugh even as Valka galloped toward her, throwing up her back hooves in her own eagerness. As the mare slid to a halt before her, Medusa didn't hesitate to step to her and throw her neck around the other mare's for a moment in an embrace. She breathed in her familiar scent, letting it warm and soothe her as it always did. Only then did she back up to take the mare in. She looked good, freshly marked from recent battles but good, all the same. Medusa knew Ironclad may have put some of those marks on her and she couldn't help the slight anger she felt at that, but she knew it was all done in professional etiquette, fighting over the leadership of the island. Ironclad didn't win, but Medusa felt no hardship over that. He could always challenge again later, after all.

As Valka flared her nostrils, Medusa tilted her head in curiosity, ears pricked to hear her words before she let out a chuckle and pawed the ground. "Oh, it was definitely all luck, but I am forever learning your lessons and should show you whenever you'd like a reminder yourself." She teased back at the mare, her eyes glittering with mischief.
