Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

heart made of glass, my mind of stone

”Not such a bad guy, right?” he said, and Ravine scoffed. ”That’s better,” she said, but her voice dripped with sarcasm rather than genuine satisfaction. She could tell how much he was enjoying this, and deep within, Ravine had to admit it was nice to be desired for once instead of outcast - even if that desire was shown through bites and pinned ears. She knew it wasn’t a good thing, but it was at least a change from her home, where everyone treated her just a little bit cold for the circumstances of her birth.

Ravine’s slitted eyes continued to follow the stallion as he pranced around her, all arched neck and flagging tail. She was being stubborn now, refusing to move, but he seemed to be humoring her for the moment. He joked about giving him a list of demands, and Ravine gave him a smile of exaggerated sweetness. ”I think it’s your turn to be disappointed this time, Sunshine,” she said. Then he began driving her again, pinching the skin of her steel grey neck between his teeth, and Ravine squealed and charged forward to avoid him.

They resumed their dance of nipping and kicking back and forth, until the Lagoon loomed before them and threatened to swallow them up. Ravine halted before the dense vegetation of the bachelor’s territory, her front hooves briefly leaving the ground as she balked at the heavy green. She did not want to be consumed by this humid jungle that smelled of hormones and stallion, but the sunshine colt was not going to let her off that easy, she knew that much. Ravine gave a particularly violent squeal and one last thrash of her hind legs before taking off into the Lagoon at a pace she hoped would give him trouble keeping up.

In the shade of the dense trees, Ravine threw her heels up a few times in a rebellious buck. She knew the colt would catch up to her - she did not know her way around this place, and she was certain that he did. Even if she lost him for a bit, he would find her. So she ran and bucked her heart out for a few blissful minutes, before sliding to a halt and waiting for her captor to come and enjoy his new ‘company’.
