Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

ℑ𝔫𝔱𝔯𝔬𝔵𝔦𝔠𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔨𝔦𝔰𝔰 Tyr

She did not know this Evren, but she remembers seeing her around the Forest. Maeve did not talk to many horses and preferred to stick to the few she knew, but she was not opposed to making new friends. The chestnut made it a point to meet her later, but first she had a difficult decision to make. Freedom was hers, but not her daughter’s. Maeve stares down at the precious miss matched eyes of her child. The filly did not realize she would have to say goodbye to her momma today and Maeve wasn’t about to tell her. She wanted to sneak her off, but she knew that would only increase Tyr’s wrath. He wouldn’t let her go, but Maeve was afraid worse would happen to her daughter if she left.

Maeve has kept her daughter from the dunalino because of her defect. Grizel was so beautiful, but she could not do a whole lot. She was just finally getting the strength to go for a swim after months of being alive. Most foals could do more than she could so she kept the foal close and protected. She was afraid that even if Tyr did decide to let her live that he wouldn’t keep her safe like she has. He would need to keep her close at all times and doing that would slow him down immensely. How could she leave Grizel? The filly tugs underneath her mother for some milk because even though she was old enough to wean Maeve has allowed her to drink longer for extra strength. She had taught Grizel to eat grass, but the filly prefers her milk over the green stuff. The next few days would be hard on her in more ways than one.

The mare quickly decides to find Tyr. Maybe there was a way she could convince him to let Grizel go. She navigates through the Lagoon until the golden Shire mutt appears. She nickers to him as she approaches, their daughter pressed tightly to her side while staring nervously up at the large stallion. ”Tyr,” she begins in her native tongue. ”I keep Grizel.” Her large hoof stomps. ”You no Nucklavee. Chan eil eagal orm romhad.” Her eyes stare at him sternly. ”I keep Grizel.” Her two toned eyes never leave him as she commands she keep her child with her.

Translation(s):
Nuckelavee: A nasty horse-like demon
Chan eil eagal orm romhad.: I’m not afraid of you.
