Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

The trek between the Falls and the Lagoon seemed to take an eternity. His pace was slow, careful, precise as he made sure to keep an eye or ear turned towards the red mare as she blindly followed him. The warmth of her breath upon his flesh was comforting, soothing his worries that she might be ripped from his grasp just as tragically as Aslan had been. That the nightmare he was living wouldn’t stop with only one life it had taken tonight.

Coming to a stop once they were within the shadowy border of the Lagoon, Tyr let his eyes drift over his home and debated finding Kiraz immediately. Perhaps the soft feminine touch would help to comfort Kvothe where he had failed? But as he looked back at her, seeing the white rim of her eyes, the draft stallion decided differently. It was a scary change, especially for the season and the place he had taken her. But not as scary as it might have been should the previous leader still reign over this band of brothers.

“There is no need to be afraid.” Tyr quietly said, not wanting to break the quiet that hung over them with an abrasive voice. “They will not harm you.” The stallion assured, and if his brother’s made him break that promise, it would be them who would suffer the consequences. But Tyr did not speak that silent threat aloud. Instead, he began to lead her further into the clutches of the bachelor home. Only when they came to a small meadow colored with the dawn’s colors much like the one she had wanted to stop at before, did Tyr finally stop to rest.

“This is where we will stay for now.” the stallion said, letting his eyes rest upon the mare once again. Reaching back to her, Tyr hoped to draw his muzzle along the gentle lines of her face in a comforting touch. To show her he was still there for her, even through something fated so cruel as this. “When you are ready, there is another mare I’d like you to meet.” Tyr said, indicating they would remain here for as long as she would need. And all those things he had gone to her that night to talk about would wait too.
