Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

When Tyr had issued his challenge, he had not known the Queen was pregnant. But even when she answered, he did not decline because of it. Instead, Tyr had been more precise about his blows. Doing his best to just shoulder her away instead of actually striking the mare. Somehow, the tactic had been successful, and he had chased the young mare into the sea with a meaner face than what he felt. Of course they looked at him like the villain, so he wore the mask of one, though despite his bluff he never touched the young filly.

When they trudged up onto the Crossing’s shore, the filly didn’t waste anytime in turning to face him. She addressed him like a hissing cat, and he nearly laughed at her as she tried to put on a brave front. If her Queen had not been able to best him, did she think her cutting words would? Tyr couldn’t help the snort that escaped his nares, and he gave a shake of his head as if the sound of her voice was no better than a buzzing fly.

“I have ruined nothing.” Tyr replied. “You are only a means to an end.” Although she had clearly thought he had targeted her, the draft stallion had other things in mind. She was pretty, and young, and would probably fetch a good bounty; it wasn’t what Tyr was after. Instead, he looked passed her to the looming shadows of the Lagoon. He doubted his brothers wanted yet another mare in their midst. “I have other matters to attend, and I’m sure you don’t want to be some stallion’s pet.” Tyr said as his multicolored gaze returned to her face. “Stay here. I doubt you’d really want to make your pregnant Queen chase you down?” Without waiting for a reply, the giant stallion turned and plunged back into the salty waves.
