Well, Will, one of the cops said he was sure that if the police had fired, that they would be greatly outgunned by the mob. Apparently a great deal of quasi-public planning went into this attack.

I agree (don't argue) that Ham was a firecracker and enlivened the forum greatly. He and George Henson & I were room mates during candidate days, and we kept contact during Midshipman days. Ham's career, greatly involved in the development of towed arrays as a civilian researcher, was admirable.

The times I have commented seem to have shut off further comments, leading me to think, maybe I should shut up (and only be suspected of being a fool).
