 Beneath the broad fronds of the coconut palms, the silver and black stallion, quietly rests. His glacial eyes warily eye the brooding grey skies on the edge of the horizon. They warn of the monsoons that will soon sweep over Atlantis and drown them beneath their sheets of rain. The Ridge which usually is full of brilliant sunshine and the constant caw of the brilliant macaws will be filled with soggy mud and darkening skies. He drops his gaze from the brooding heavens and squints his eyes as far off dot begins to take form. They transform from mere dots into two separate bobbing heads in the waves. The waters part and the pair pull themselves from the froth and bubbling surf. Clearly the red mare is angry with the child, the way her face contorts and the sharpness in her tone. Stay put, her tone is stern We’re going to wait until the others get here before we go any further.” He could at-least welcome them to the Ridge, he after all is the first one to stumble on the newcomers. He clears his throat to announce his approach. "Welcome to the Ridge, I am Sigurðr," his glacial eyes shift from mother to child "Do you mind if I wait here with you until the rest of them get here?" he asks with a tilt of his dark head. "I didn't mean to here your conversation," he chuckles "I was just enjoying the shade of the jungle when you two came ashore and I overhead what you said to your child."
