watch the world BURN

She always knew this day would come when she would return home and see her parents again, but she didn't know it was be because Ironclad up and left the islands. She could have stayed in the Inlet and tried to build some kind of alliance with the new lead stallion, Bjorn, but when Arael decided to leave with her King, Medusa didn't feel like there was anything keeping her there anymore. Arael was the only friend she had in the Inlet besides Lace, and their encounters were few and far between. She needed guidance before she made her decision. She knew she needed to see her parents, but that didn't mean she was planning to stay. No, really she was leaning more toward going to stay with her dear friend Valka in the Bay. She wanted to show off her daughter and see how her little red friend was doing.

There was time a year or so ago when Medusa had been so angry with her father, wanting to demand answers from him on what happened with Warsaw. She only knew what Ironclad told her, that he'd killed Warsaw in cold blood. Somehow she knew there had to be more to it than that, but at the time, all she could see was her mate's deep sadness and anguish at the situation and she wanted justice for him. But as time wore on, she thought on it more and the anger ebbed away, leaving only questions she knew would come up some day. And maybe that day was today.

When the first figure to approach was a silver buckskin she didn't recognize at first, Medusa's ears folded back and she stepped in front of Revna protectively. Her lips curled in warning and her teeth gnashed the air, every bit a clone of her own mother in that moment as she got ready to launch herself at the stallion if he got any closer. But as his scent wafted to her and his voice rang out, a familiarity hit her and the mare perked up, her lips curling into a more keen smirk as she eyed the devil who'd grown up without her here to torment him. Her eyes flashed daringly when he called her daughter a parasite, but she let out a bellow of laughter on his last lines before answering. "Just because you're too insecure and slow to move out of your parent's basement doesn't mean the rest of us have nowhere else to go, dear Annubis. And watch who you call a parasite. She's my daughter and will be treated with the same respect as any grandchild of your father and King. You give her anything less and I'll remind you the brightness of your own blood." Her jaws snapped in warning yet again, raising a brow at him expectantly.
