Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I CANNOT BE ALTERED

With all the stallions around, it was surprising to him when a branch broke and he turned his head to see a mare instead. Not many were around here unless they were trinkets, which (from Carbon's experience so far) meant they were just angry and bitter with the world because they were held prisoner by stallions. He couldn't say he blamed them. If he could, he would set them all free just because he didn't agree with keeping anyone against their will. Who would? These guys were jerks if they thought like that and Carbon wanted no part of that. He was here because he'd agreed to come on his father's behalf. So far, Rade didn't seem so bad, but he ran the place and the place was still full of jerks who liked to steal mares so he obviously wasn't all good either.

The mare didn't look overly hostile or angry though, at least not for the moment. She looked maybe a little disappointed at first that she'd been found out. Was she planning on ignoring him? Rude. He scowled at her thoughtfully for a moment, trying to read her expression, but she was hard to get a take on. She gave him a friendly enough greeting and he tipped his head in response. He was taught manners, after all. "And to you, as well. I'm Carbon. What's your name?" He pricked his ears and gave her his full attention. At least it was better than talking to one of the egotistical stallions that probably brought her here against her will. Maybe he could show her that not all stallions were like that. He could be her friend, maybe even her protector. He was his father's son, after all.
