Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

JAWS

Things were strange, in her world. Jaws didn’t know how to explain it, didn’t know how to tell you or anyone else. Her life in the Lagoon had been better than anything else had been… for ages, really. During the day she, largely, got to do whatever she wanted. Not many could really boast that. No responsibilities at all? Pretty cool really. At night she curled up against Rade. Though questions of his mortality swirled in her head, Jaws was going to appreciate the time she had with him. He was everything she had, but that was a weakness she wouldn’t let shine through.

Weakness was the only danger that Jaws faced, here in the Lagoon. Her strides were that of the mares that she felt lived here, or at least the ones that played in her mind’s eye. Confidence fits Jaws, wraps her and holds her tight. Maybe it’s the glue that keeps Jaws together… she wouldn’t be too surprised by that, at this rate.

What she doesn’t know is just how thickly her blood runs in the Lagoon. Blissfully, maybe, unaware of the circumstances of her conception. Maybe Jaws would hate herself if she knew. Maybe things would be even worse inside her head if she’d known just what Floyd had done. Maybe… maybe. She’s distanced herself from all of that. Everything seemed so far away now, and she had the only family that mattered close by her side.

Winter would be over soon, and maybe she’d venture from the Lagoon and see more of the islands. Fleetingly, she wondered what had become of the home they’d once had on Atlantis. Who held it now? Would she be able to visit? Was visiting even a good idea? Jaws set her expression on the horizon, hovering on the shore of the Lagoon itself. The days were already starting to get longer, and she was able to enjoy the light of the early afternoon without much concern. Truly, everything would be okay.
