Spring would be coming soon, and she was grateful for that. It would thaw the world around them, melt the heart of stone… maybe. The mares that she’d seen round with child, they’d have their foals as well. Spring was new beginnings, and new life. Soon. Bane wasn’t a fan of children, but they had their uses. They would be the next generation, the future of their people. They would need to be trained, to be raised. Bane figured that she’d have a role in that too, in the Peak. They had a habit of taking in strays, after all.
The weak, the downtrodden. Whatever the Lagoon had decided to take prisoner, though she maybe lacked some of the venom towards them that her sisters held. Thane had been their king once. Her father had been their king once. It was a strange degree of separation to attempt to hold, but here she was. Separated, but she would always be too close to the situation.
Curiosity, yes. Bane, too, is curious about the stranger with the strong accent. She’s watching the mare intently, wondering if she’d be fit to join their ranks in the Lagoon. Maybe she could recruit, though she generally lacks the charm. “It’s going to be spring, soon. Winter has gone on for far too long.” Her tail flickers at her haunches, sighing softly. The days were getting longer, and she welcomed it.
What adventures, and a soft smile curses Bane’s lips. Adventures were the backbone of her existence. Her green eyes glimmer softly as they rest on the stranger, considering for a long moment. “I just came down from my home in the mountains, I didn’t have much of a plan for today after that.” The mare inclined her head to the Peak in the distance, her home. “What about you?” She studies the stranger carefully, curiously. It has been a long time since Bane has had company.
