I...I, I'm sorry I did not come sooner. I didn't know what to do. The apology spills from her lips. Immediately his brows furrow - she had nothing to apologize for - he should of asked her to return to the Inlet. She after-all, carried his child, but he had felt fear. The fear that she would not want to travel to the frigid North and that she had someone else's arms to return to... that the moments spent beneath the watchful moon had been a mistake. "You do not have to apologize," he whispers gently "I am happy that you are here now." A moment of silence passes between them as he searches her weary dark eyes. He did not know what she had gone through since he had left the Isles all those months ago. She had been as much as a mystery then, as she is now. The squirming of their daughter, draws his glacial eyes from N.asa to her. He can feel the pride swell in his chest as he watches her bring her spindly legs beneath her body and begin the process of standing. I have named her Diana. Of the hunt, "Diana," he says softly "it is a fitting name for such a beautiful child." His gaze returns to N.asa and finally he dares to press closer to her. His muzzle finds the tender skin at her shoulder and presses his lips against it. He can hear the quiet suckling of Diana and a moment of silence passes as they both find the words. "Can I stay?" The words fill the narrow space between them. "Yes, of course N.asa," he nods as he takes a step back so that he can gaze into her dark eyes. "You are welcome to stay here as long as you want." Deep down he hopes that she will fall in love with the frigid North, and choose to stay here in the Inlet... here with him.
