A major piece of WDAF-TV's morning news is leaving the station, as of next week. Mark Alford is retiring from TV news after 23 years at FOX 4. Prior to that he worked in Dallas, Houston, Austin and West Palm Beach. Alford works in real estate on the side, though it's unclear if that will become a full-time job. Alford's last newscast is October 12.
