Re(1): Mark Alford's "Retirement"

Who cares? I learned a long time that when a guy's been on the payroll long enough to earn more than they can get his job done by someone else, younger, less experienced and CHEAPER, they start looking for ways to get him to move on, on his own. Not laid off, not fired without real cause....just to leave so as not to count against the employer downsizing their salary budget.

He's been there far too long and after five years, most people aren't really providing an experience 'value added' worth their higher salaries.

Not true of the night time where 'familiarity' is more important that any experience. If anything, longtime anchors start getting too comfortable and lose any spark they once had.

Pray that happens over at ABC WORLD NEWS "TONIGHT" where their fast talking, repetitive rock and roll urgent news style does nothing but raise the blood pressure of their audience.

I'm getting to the point I can't stand it, and even thir affiliate newscasters feel the need to deliver like they're getting an electric cattle prod under the table! Wife likes it but I think she likes David Muir's looks. To me, ABC is just mass assembled, fast food.
