Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts [kvothe]

It was a new day and age. A new view on life. Tyr could see it in the things around him, but he could also see it in himself. Had it not been for the trouble Frey was causing him, the General might not have seen it at all. He knew if he had ever behaved that way against his own father, he would probably not be drawing breath. The man had been violent, a trait he had passed on to his son. A trait that Dara enjoyed, but that he hid from everyone else in this new light that they saw him in. One that he was supposed to carry out into the world. But it was difficult at times, and Frey was making it more so.

Tyr knew he needed to do something about Frey, but he was unsure what. He did not want to give him the same treatment as his own sire, but things could not continue to carry on as they were. Something had to give; something had to change. Rade could perhaps give some advice. Surely, a stallion at his age had raised a wayward son? No, with a shake of his head, Tyr quickly buried the thought. This was his son, and his matter. But he was not the only parent.

Giving out a deep rumbling nicker, Tyr perked his ears forward and moved through the still green trees. They would not be that color for much longer; Fall was nearly upon them and the stallion would have more thoughts on his mind than the current pressing ones. One thing at a time, the General reminded himself. Only when the saw the beautiful red coat of Kvothe did he let out a gentle sigh. Even with the knowledge that she would not fully love him as she did her previous stallion, he could not help but be comforted by her continued presence.

As the brute neared the gentle woman, he extended his nose to her to drink in her soft scent and to touch whatever flesh she offered him; her muzzle, cheek or neck. “I need to speak with you.” he said after he had given a moment to exchange an affectionate touch. “It is about our son. I’m not sure what to do with him.”
