Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The bonniest flower the land has seen

She could feel it standing next to her father. The way he looks at Frey and the tension rising in his body. She didn’t know what was going to between them, but she figures it has something to do with the gathering of stallions a few days prior. Her young half-brother was always busy around the Lagoon. She thinks maybe he has done something wrong to anger father. Perhaps he has soiled father’s good name somehow. Typically, Grizel would keep to herself and never say a word about her worries. She might tell her sire, but he was the only one. He was the only one she ever spent time with. Grizel felt a very special connection to her father because he always kept her safe. She felt protected when he was near. Almost like she could do anything.

But it was this summer day that she bring up the courage to approach her male sibling. Grizel always felt a little inferior to the other Tyr children not only because of her defected lungs, but also because of her mother. She didn’t remember much of her dam, but she did know she escaped and had to leave her behind. Some of these mares were actually in a relationship with her father. They were able to have both parents in their life. Grizel could only imagine how great that must be growing up, but at least she had dad by her side. The older filly follows her brother’s path until she finds him standing on the shore. “Brother?” She speaks shyly in her quiet Scottish voice.

Before she can say anything more, she takes a few heavy breaths. ”Is something wrong between you and dad?” Bright eyes stare at her sooty red brother who was just slightly taller than herself. Maybe she shouldn’t be asking this question in the first place. She was kind of scared about learning the answer.
