Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

As she spoke, it made Tyr think back to the time he had first joined the Lagoon. In truth, it probably wasn’t all that long ago compared to others that had spent most of their lives here. Or even in the Peak. Cullen had claimed him as if he were a mare, a pawn. Tyr had been a trinket for awhile before he had moved on to a ranked brother, climbing his way to General as he continued to prove himself. Cullen had seemed the blood thirsty type, and although Tyr hadn’t minded that at the beginning, it changed as he matured. As new views were brought to his attention, and others came into his life that made him feel different. It was a long list of things he hardly felt like sharing. But as he met her eyes, Tyr knew he needed to be truthful, in a sense. Just as she was being with him.

“I’m not going to promise that a brother will not go against the grain from time to time. That there will not be a mare, or stallion, here that does not want to be at some point. For the same reason you can not drive the ilk from the other islands that do the same thing.” Tyr said, his body turning now so that he could again face her after she had taken her observation of him. “But I will not tolerate torture, nor for the unhappy to remain. That I can promise.” The General added, giving a small nod of his head. There was only so much he could control, but he wanted her to know he would do as he could. What else could she expect of him?

“I was one of those that voted for Rade to take the Boss’ seat instead of Cullen.” Tyr admitted, his ears pushing forward as his green blue eyes bore into the mare. “I want to see a changed Lagoon because I have changed. I am no longer the stallion that washed up from the mainland set to conquer the world. I have sons, and as a brotherhood, I want the other herds to feel safe sending their sons here to learn to be stallions. Not to be monsters.” There….. Tyr had finally said it. Though he had known all along how he had felt, this was truly the first time someone had asked, and that he had told.
