The two of them fall into an awkward stare just before he asks Ally if the child was his. Anyone watching their conversation might find some entertainment as how they both seem to be in shock. Though Verrat was stark white like his mother had been, his father was a palomino so he knew he might carry the cream gene.
Verrat swallows hard as Ally opens her mouth. He can feel the blood draining from his face as she answers his question. Verrat’s eyes immediately go back to the young colt who has been revealed as his son. ”I’m sorry, she says as a soft breeze brings a chill down his spine. His ivory skull shakes as he takes one small step forward. Whatever happened between them was long enough ago that he could forgive her. How could he stay made at this mare who was the reason his daughter was alive? Her milk had saved Wytche from a terrible fate of starvation and now she is raising his son. ”It is okay,” he says softly as his eyes plead with her. ”May I? May I introduce myself to him?” As the father he had every right to talk to his son. Another stallion might not even ask the mother’s permission, but he respected Ally. ”What is his name?” He was curious to know what she called their child together. He would like to know what he could call his second born son, his third born child.
