The longer he spent in her company, the more adorable he thought she was. He was still trying his best not to lean too hard into his natural desire to charm and flirt with a pretty mare, just in case Sabran wouldn’t like to be wooed by the stallion who lived next door to her mother. That could surely be awkward, especially since they lived so close, if she wouldn’t like that sort of attention from him.
However, was he crazy, or had she blushed and smiled before she’d told him she’d like to go to Tinuvel with him?
Zevulun was sure he wasn’t.
The pale stallion turned to walk slowly with her through the meadow where they could pause here and there, studying the pretty surroundings they were in. Sabran asked him if he’d been to the other islands aside from Tinuvel and Zevulun couldn’t help but smile. “I have!” He nodded happily. “I’ve been to them all. I… tend to have an affinity for exploration.” He gave a smile as he glanced at her, then looked around them again.
“Although, I’d really like to poke my way around Atlantis or even Salem again. I haven’t gotten to explore them as much as I have Tinuvel and Luthien.” He explained, then looked curiously at her. “And you? Are there any islands you’d really like to see?”
How many times could he get away with promising to be her exploration buddy before it became all too obvious? Before he just couldn’t help himself and had to try and test the waters of their chemistry even more?
He needed to be careful. He’d already stumbled his way into enough problems this past season, it wouldn’t do to add any more.
