Re(4): Did Lucy Kiss Him Good-Bye?

I know a lot of people are too busy or too lazy to read the newspaper, and now that we've got the internet, newspaers like the Kansas City Star are history, gone.

It's too bad. I read the KC Star on my mother & father's subscription when I was a kid, and for at least another thirty years on my own subscription when I left home.

I read the front page, if there was anyting interesting And I might breeze through the editorials, but my major concern was the Metgropolitan Section. In its best days, the KC Star gave me DETAILS on serious car crashes and fires. It told me who shot who, where and maybe even why.

Tbe Business Section told me meaningful stories about businesses that were opening, businesses that were closing, and WHY. Day-to-day and week-to-week, I could read Business atories that gave me background. Few surprises, because I knew what was going on!!!

I could read Editorials that gave me The KC Star's opinions, but NO PROBLEM. When The KC Star gave their pluses and minuses on politicians and issues, I wasn't brain-washed.

Limbaugh's greatest fear was that the liberal media was going to pollute my mind with their rubbish, and I was going to do what they said, but guess what: I could read their asinine opinions, and I COULD VOTE AGAINST THEM!!! DUH!!!

I miss my KC Star, and even my little neighborhood newspapers.
