Birds don't have calendars. They don't know (or care) that it's still early February. All they know is that global warming makes it FEEL like time to fly back north.
I saw a big bird, not one of your small winter birds like a chickadee or something, in the yard aross the street from my house yesterday. There's a cemetary with a pond about a mile from my house, close to KCI. There was a whole FLOCK of geese on the front lawn of that cemetry, yeaterday.
Think they've got an internal GPS that's telling them it's time to fly back north? Replies:
