He'd abandoned them again, the love she had lived for, pined for. He'd disappeared into the fog much like he had the few times they'd encountered each other in the Falls. This time though, it decimated her. They had built a life together, albeit quiet, she was content, finally feeling like she'd been able to lay the roots she'd desperately wished to put down somewhere. The dark mare watched as the new mare had arrived and swiftly proclaimed she was now ruler of the Inlet. The tone at which Parvati paraded didn't sit well with her, even if the mare had nothing but good intentions. She did not know who this Solomon was, but she had heard of him and that he ruled Tinuvel as a whole. Bjorn had never spoke ilk of Solomon, had respected his kingship.

"Mama, where is da?" The little grey filly's voice pitches at the mention of Bjorn and N.asa's heart breaks for the young girl. She could feel it then, the unfamiliar feeling of resentment towards the painted stallion for leaving them. N.asa does her best to smooth her features, not wishing to alarm their daughter. "He's out on business perhaps?" A lie. The first one and the last she would tell on his behalf. Diana pouts but otherwise doesn't ask anything further, much to her mother's relief. "Why don't you go play with your siblings?" She suggests. "Ok!" Diana skips away, tail flagged courtesy of her mother's Arabian breeding. N.asa stares longingly after her, wishing she could be as carefree as Diana. But alas, N.asa is getting older, her muzzle greying more every season. Her bones ached more than they didn't and they had for awhile. She huffs the breath she'd been holding in her lungs. The air was already crisp from fall and winter would be here soon. If they left now, they could return to the Desert, but rumor had it Cain had long since disappeared.

She sighs, her shoulders heavy. Why did he have to abandon them like this?
