Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

KNOW THAT I WOULD GLADLY BE
the icarus to your certainty

A boisterous call made Orphiel freeze. He lifted his head, perked ears twitching as he glanced at the landscape ahead of him until he could see the other horse. Immediately he recognized it to be a stallion, and likely one who lived here given how confidently he walked. He was much, much larger than Orphiel’s modest fifteen-hands even and for a moment, that made Orphiel worry. He had been living with other stallions for a few seasons now, engaging in spars and learning how to be a part of society rather than a shadow tucked away in the Prairie’s hills. But his confidence hadn’t fully come in yet, especially now that everything in his life was so turned upside-down.

The dark red roan asked him who he was, and Orphiel lifted his head, rather quick to answer. “I’m Orphiel.” But he knew the stallion didn’t only want to know his name. He wanted to know what had brought him into the Lagoon, too. “I’m… Um, I mean, is this the Lagoon?” He asked, even though he knew it was. “Are you one of the bachelors who live here?” Again, even though he was certain, he still made absolutely sure his assumptions were correct before he decided to ask his question. If he had somehow guessed incorrectly, this stallion wouldn’t be able to help him with what he needed.

“I don’t have anywhere else to live right now and I was wondering if I could stay here while I figure some things out.”
