Anybody in the media knows full well how commonplace drink and drug dependencies are... I'm surprised this story managed even to get on this board.

I commented on TW last night saying at 82, he prob wont live long enough to get his license back after mandatory diversion, assuming he hasn't had priors.

Time for him to quit driving since they have plenty of money. And this time, he should consult his Dr and get a script for craving reduction "Naltrexone" to go along with his therapy classes. Its worked for everybody I know whose in a program with a staff physician...I got it on recommendation fm a friend and it worked for me in 48 hours. I dont drink at all now.

Tri County Mental health north of the river has a great program and the literature says it even works for serious drug addictions, overeating, gambling--because it interupts the pleasure sensation right where cravings occur.

Its been around now for a decade and more treatment programs are using it. Far better than AA which requires religion as the key element to their 12 step pgm.

Google it "Naltrexone". The shots expensive, the pills are cheap. We all know someone who needs the help, if not ourselves...this tip will help your friend in need.
