This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. Good Morning Neal
I am the Researcher and Archivist for the Lancashire Fusiliers Web Site.
Would you please confirm the spelling of his surname. I cannot find anyone named Flecher on the Forces War Record Web Site nor at the National Archives Medal Rolls and Medal Card Index. Their are however numerous named George or Harry Fletcher or a mixture of his names on the FWR Web Site and National Archives who served with the Lancashire Fusiliers. Do you have any documents that give his Regimental Number?
His date of birth does not assist in this situation.
If he indeed did serve post WWI then Service Records for post 1920 Veterans are only available from the Army Records Office in Glasgow by personal application, they are not searchable on line.
