GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
we could be strangers in the night

YOUR LOVE IS ALWAYS DANGEROUS
and now i'm lost in us

Zevulun lifted his head, pale ears perking as he noticed a shape approaching him more by watching the tall yellow grass tremble around the figure than by who it actually was. It wasn’t long before a young colt broke into the little clearing and brought him up short. Zevulun had a few children this season, but the boy standing in front of him wasn’t one. Still, the youthful and happy Hullo! made him grin, heart warming immediately. One undeniable truth of Zevulun was his instant love of any child who crossed his path.

“Well hello there,” he murmured warmly, glacial blue eyes bright as he looked at the boy.

Of course, he was smart enough to know… He lifted his head and looked beyond the colt, taking note of the pale-haired mare rushing toward them. Despite the distance (which was shortened considerably with her quick gait) Zevulun was smart enough to recognize the protective ferocity she was coming with.

He threw his head and pulled himself a step back from the colt, hoping if he showed he was keeping his distance she wouldn’t feel the need to fully charge at him. Though Zevulun wouldn’t exactly be surprised if that wasn’t enough. Some mothers could be very protective of their foals, especially around unknown stallions.

“It’s alright!” He tried to call out on the wind to her, still studying her body language to see if she meant to pull up or aimed to fully charge at him and physically drive him further from her son. Just in case, he took another small precautionary step back… it also helped him lean his weight back in the event she kept charging, it’d be easier for him to push off and turn himself around to get out of her protective path.
