I've been here the whole time singing you a song

I will carry you, I will carry you
mare - campolina - grulla - 15h - 8yr - wandering
played by leaf

With the sunrise a shadow came in the form a dark stallion. Before the blue mare has a chance to say anything he cuts her off with a sharp nip to her withers, and when it lands, she squeals in surprised fury, pinning her ears and lashing out at him with a foreleg. 'What the actual fuck?!' she thinks to herself, anger the first thing that surfaces from their interaction. Yet before she lets any words fly from her lips, she clamps them down and thinks. He was claiming her, which most likely meant he had some kind of power within the herd; at the very least he very well lived here. She could try to run and escape, but she wouldn’t be able to run for long after enduring the ocean’s harrying. Releasing the breath she didn’t realize she was holding, she let it out slowly, letting the pent up rage she felt go with it. Being hot-headed right now was not in her best interest. Ears flicking back and forth, her gaze roams up and down the black stud. He may not be the most well-mannered host, but he was at least easy on the eyes.

Fighting between needing to be polite- she was, after all, trespassing- and being indignant toward his mannerless behavior, her voice took on a note that melded these two feelings together. "I apologize," she dryly emphasized the word, "for showing up here. It wasn’t as if I had a say." She pauses, looking at the brute to see if he had any sharp remark for her. When no words are given, she continues, "But I would be remiss if I passed up your hospitality." Again, with the same dry emphasis. She would say the words of a diplomat… that didn’t mean she had to deliver them like one. Eyes narrowed, she watched the onyx man in front of her, waiting to see what he would do next. Her skin was on fire where he had gotten her, muscles ready to move if he tried anything like that again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice… 'No way.'
