In my name shall they cast out demons open

Mother I am here,
I can hear your song

The time has come for Eeva to begin a life of her own. The filly-no-young mare made it clear that it was time. As Bathsheba stays firmly put in Paradise with the hope of Akela’s return, Eeva was growing stir crazy. She had been begging her mother for the last month to let her go looking, but Bathsheba always refused. The older mare was afraid that if her daughter left this place then she too would never return. Eeva assured her mother that wouldn’t happen. Finally, after a whole month of the girl begging her mother, Bathsheba agrees. ”I will miss you.” The mare smiles at her beautiful smoky black daughter as they snuggle close. ”I know mom. I will miss you too and I love you.” Eeva presses into her mother before pulling away. ”But it is time. I can’t sit here waiting for father and sister to come back. I have to live my own life now.” Bathsheba stares into the eyes of her grown daughter as her tears begin to fall.

”Please visit. One day when you create a family of your own bring those little bundle of joys back to meet their grandma.” Eeva bumps her mother’s shoulder with an embarrassed look on her face. ”Oh, mom!” Her mom was always bringing up that one day she would continue their lineage and have a family of her own. She has done well to create a close mother/daughter relationship, but she wasn’t about to talk boys with her mom. ”Please,” Bathsheba looks at her daughter with a seriously. ”Okay, okay. You know I wouldn’t keep you from your grandchildren. I guess just stay here so I can find you.” Her eyes roll, but she expects that her mother will do it. Stay here. Her mother couldn’t seem to leave Paradise if she wanted. ”And in summer we will take that trip to Tinuvel so you can meet your grandfather.” Eeva nods. ”I’m guessing we will meet back here then?” Bathsheba nods.

With that, Eeva gives her mother once last nuzzle before dipping her hooves into the sea. Bathsheba watches on the shore as her daughter disappears among the waves in the distance.
