Meadow

The girl's eyes narrowed at Aventura's flippant response, uncertain if she was really telling the truth. Margarita knew she was pretty, but she needed to be perfect today. She didn't know how long it would be before their father agreed to let them off island again; with Sicily being gone and Nyimara challenging for their herd members left and right, getting him to agree to let them poke around on the Crossing had been like pulling teeth. Marg's point that she was basically fully grown had fallen on deaf ears for all of the autumn season, and it had taken a very pointed campaign of stalking and pouting for him to agree to this trip... with the caveat that the headstrong girl not go alone.

Eventually, she huffed and decided to accept that response as good enough. It wasn't Aventuras she needed to impress anyways.

Her sister's follow up question earns the equivalent of a shrug and she gestured broadly out at the meadow before them. "I dunno. Someone. Anyone. I mean have you even talked to anyone that wasn't family? 'Cause I haven't. It'd be nice to like..." ... have a friend, she thought but didn't say. Margarita had lots of family, and she was pretty friendly with a lot of them, but she didn't have that same friend connection that so many others did. "To meet someone, I mean," she finished lamely with a sniff.

As Aventuras insinuated Marg had a secret boyfriend, her pale muzzle wrinkled and she shook her head. "Ew, no. The Lagoon boys are gross." Margarita still had grand hopes for her future, and they most certainly did not include hanging around in a swamp around a bunch of boys. "I wanna find a King, like Dad. Only you know, one that doesn't have, like, eleventy billion mares around." She turned her attention back to her sister curiously, shifting so that they were basically standing side by side again. "What is it you're looking for? Did you mention the Lagoon 'cause you've got the hots for someone there?"
