- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands - anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents - adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm - the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head - the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors | ||

A soft glow illuminates the sea, but she sees no beauty in it. Not without her little family. Tears stream from her teal-colored eyes as they search the sea for any figure that may appear. Though her hope has faded, it was not completely gone. She wished to see them appear among the waves and explain they had only gone out for a swim. Was Ívarr old enough for that? Her worry only grows that something has happened to them. That stallion…that one that approached Ally and claimed he was of no harm to her. Viđarr had not been pleased with him being there. A month later Ally shows up pregnant and Viđarr upset. Mage could only guess that stallion took an interest to her. It was shortly after that they came to the Prairie. She never asked him about any of it.
Mage focused on doing her best to make him happy with their own growing relationship. They were still new to each other, but they shared a special moment that resulted in little Ívarr. She promised to be nothing like Ally (if the mare had chosen to get pregnant) and stay loyal. But what now? A soft nicker draws her out of her mind and to the cremello colored stallion walking towards her. She knew him as the leader of the Prairie only through Viđarr’s lips. She knew nothing about him expect his name and that he had allowed them to live here in peace. Her dark head dips to him as she attempts to pull herself together. It wasn’t the best situation to be meeting him in. Her cheeks still wet with tears and her eyes misty. Then he asks the dreaded question.
“I can’t find them,” she chokes out. It was so hard to hold back the sobs, but she manages for now. What if Viđarr had decided he couldn’t trust her? Did he take their son to run away? “I told him I wasn’t like his other mare. I’m loyal, but what am I supposed to do now?” The thoughts ran rampant in her mind. If they were truly gone, what was she going to do next? How long could he really expect her to wait? ”Am I supposed to wait here forever for him to show up?” Teal eyes search the stallion’s for an answer as if he knew something. ”You’re a herd leader so what would you expect out of your mares if you left? How long would you expect them to search for you?” Mage holds her breath as she searches him for a response. If she attempted to move on and he showed up…would she be the bad mare?
”He took our son with him.” This time she says a statement as her eyes drop to the beach between them. Ívarr would grow up the rest of the way without knowing his mother’s gentle touch. She needed to show her son how much she loved him.
