I'm filled with flaws and attitude

If you need perfect, I'm not built for you

Devi has never traveled this far so quickly. She vaguely remembers the trip to the Praire when she was younger, but there had been rest time in between swims. There was no time for rest this time around. Devi knew every second she wasted in the Lagoon was shortening her mother's life. If she didn't return with help her mother was done for. It didn't cross her mind that Oprhiel might not be able to help her mother, but she felt the need to have him back home. If nothing else, it would make momma happy.

She crashed into the waves and fights to keep up with her father. Orphiel was a more experienced swimmer so it took a lot to keep up. There was a few times she had to slow to catch her breath, but she hoped her father wouldn't slow down for her. It was important they get to Parvati as quickly as possible. Reaching the shore, Devi emerges from the sea and races to the pebbled beach. She doesn't even think to shake herself dry, the young mare just continues to drive herself towards the snow. She pulls up beside Orphiel as he stops. Auburn eyes scan the area ahead, but the Inlet is still quiet.

Her eyes meet Oprhiel's as he speaks. "Follow me," She says as she pulls ahead. She guides Orphiel through the meadow at a fast paced gallop towards the spot she last saw her mother. It was not far from the shoreline where Parvati had fought off the stallion trying to take the Inlet. She had collapsed as soon as the stallion was gone, but has since moved. Some time after Devi left she found the strength to move herself out of the spotlight. She attempted to get closer to her private cave, but there was no way she was making it that far.

Devi bring Orphiel to the last known spot she knew her mother to be. The only thing left was the imprint of her body in the snow and the blood she left behind. "Mom..." Her voice trails off as tears run down her pale cheeks. Where could she be? Drip of blood lead away from the spot her dam once laid. It led to the start of the tree line where Parvati now stood leaning against the trunk of a tree.
