"PARVATI!" The name was a snarl, ripped from her mouth and screamed into the cold Tinuvel wind like a curse.

Kohelet could not claim much familiarity with her half-sister. They had been kept largely separate as children and had done nothing to build a bond between them with time. In fact, the last time that Kohelet had seen her pale sibling, she had done everything in her power to make it clear to the spoiled mare that Fell was hers, and she wasn't planning on sharing.

Just like Una was hers.

"Parvati!" She called again, her ears flattened against the nape of her neck and her head held defiantly high. The monochrome mare was not normally a bold creature; she was soft and motherly and patient. Calm, and quiet, and kind. The matriarch, the protector. The one least likely to cause a fuss, despite Fell's wandering eye and penchant for trouble.

All of that, however, went out the window the moment her daughter was taken.

She would not let her daughter be harmed, and she had followed that mongrel's leash all the way back here, to where her darling sister sat. The Bay and the Inlet were allies, so what the hell was her sister doing allowing her pet dog to steal her very own niece? In what world was such behavior acceptable?

Kohelet may not have the fighting skills she would need to face either of them in battle, but she sure as hell knew who did, just as she knew whose side the entirety of their family would be on if Parvati didn't make this right.

"If he wants a mare, he can have a fucking mare," she hissed at the approaching figure before they were even fully visible, her ears tucking beneath the thick plush of her mane once more. "But you'll let my daughter go."
