He is about to toss into the dust of the sand when he hears the soft words of Sakhmet and he turns his head to the messenger and guardian of his not-so-little princess. He sighs, but it clear that it is not at Sakhmet herself, only to the notion of having to roll back to his feet. The length of the disturbance didn’t matter, it was just nice to be able to speak of things with someone outside his own head. His feet plant and he thrusts upward, standing at last beside her.
"I must ask…. Was it only for your daughter’s benefit that you chose me to go?"
He smiles wistfully, a little like he was doubting that she actually thought him so one-purposed as that. He does not think her so simple to believe that he had only sent her for Nashira’s benefit. "Well, it did benefit her, and the Peak, of course…" He eyes her out of one side, smiling warmly, "But it would not be the whole truth to say it was only for her benefit." He shakes his neck and head, snapping his tail against his haunches, swat swat.
"You were not yourself… so perhaps I also hoped to draw you out from your self-imposed solitude and give you time away from the things that occupy your mind and hold you back… and perhaps to prove that you are a part of us far more than a meanderer of the Dunes." His head is held unusually low, but his gaze being cast over and over to Sayyida is plain enough without verbal explanation as to the origin of his burdened expression. He had always been oddly responsive to the presence or lack of his soulmate - and it seemed he hadn’t taken to the new change as well as other times.
"I am going to send others to aid Nashira’s desire for freedom among the Lagoon women."
