Well this is unexpected.


Dark ears swivel backward at the firm gaze in his father's eyes. Disappointment. Well that he HAD expected. Just as he had done with Twinge, the colt-stallion hunches his muscular shoulders, savoring the feel of the muscles and joints as they roll across one another. It was probably the closest thing to tearing carefree through the forest he would be getting for a long time.

He fully expected father to agree with mother, expected him to reaffirm what his golden eyes spoke. The words that follow are far from it. '... you deliver the news to Zevelun...'. His ears pitch forward amid the tangle of white and black tangles. Did he hear him correctly?? HE... He was going on an adventure??? He blinks back the shock and surprise, knowing far too well how little the excitement visible would help this situation. Cautiously he glances over at Twinge, shielding the growing smile with a turn of his hip. "Well that backfired on her pretty quickly." The voice within whispered and he snorts to keep the glee from becoming too obvious.

"Yes, father" he murmurs, doing his best to keep his voice demure and apologetic despite the sudden enthusiasm to his arching neck. Submissively he dips his head, attempting to portray the obedient son if even for just a moment. Without waiting for Twinge's reaction or further encouragement from Bacardi, the simple '..Go on..' The dismissal from his sire is enough to send him rushing from the clearing. He knew exactly how to get to the Prairie. Though he had never dared to cross the river to investigate, he was thrilled with the idea of doing just that today and on official business nonetheless. This day was only getting better and better.
