Large and dark, a creature blinked amber eyes as long legs padded through the forest. Long strands of hair were plastered to the equine's face as they scanned the forest that was just past that of their sub-herd location. They were searching for Bacardi, the territory boss, to ask the stallion a gentle question about a certain young mare that had come to play in the rain with him a while back. He wanted to see the mare again, but she had stepped away that fateful day and he had not seen her since. It was odd to him now to see her once and never again, but he was hoping to change that now.
Raising large hooves, the stallion named Voyager moved closer to where he knew Bacardi resided in this forest with his own herd. His large frame weaved through the trees before he finally stopped a bit farther than what he originally thought was close enough. Long pine branches graced his fur with their little needles tickling him. The knots in his mane were littered with the needles, but the beast couldn't care less as he leaned into the pine branches just a moment to ease the one little itch behind his ear. Finally waiting long enough, Voyager moved farther forward before he gentle looked at the boss he was certainly looking for.
“Bacardi!” Came the stallions voice, wanting the lead horse to hear him coming instead of dealing with his silence. He was not to far from his home, but still the unease itched its way through his heart as he stood before the stallion that gave him a home. “Sir, I have a question to ask you regarding your seal brown daughter… I never got her name when I met her.” Voyager was trying his best to look professional, but it was easy enough to see that he was feeling like a teenage male asking a father for permission to take their daughter out on a date. “I… I would like to court her if you will allow it…” Goodness, the black stallion was starting to sweat from nerves as he looked at his leader.
