Such a blast of Fresh Air

Watching is something that falls into his very essence. He was constantly treading after mother and her friend. Watching the mares was something that had become so natural to him. It had all fallen into place even when he had to chase after them to protect them. Sharkie wandered far too often or she had. Maybe this time would be different. Maybe home they could stay. Polar did love an adventure though. Polar also just wanted to stay home this time. It didn't seem like too much to ask honestly. He just wanted to have a family of his own really. Was that so much to ask for? Polar doesn't think so.

Asphara deserved to live. Anyone could see that really if they looked hard enough. They would see the hurting, lonely mare. Polar saw this and he hated it. He hated knowing that she hurt because she felt so alone. She hurt because she didn't have what others did and wanted it. That wasn't so bad to him. Polar wanted that too and had not found it thus far. In due time though. It seemed fair enough really.

There is a slight shift from her as a hoof struck the ground and he ever so slightly tilted his nose down. Those honey eyes continued to watch her but there is no pity in them. There is concern and there is a warmth that cannot be found anywhere else. Not in these moments anyway. Polar can see the tears begin to fall and quickly the need for personal between them melts away. He felt her lean into him as she sobbed and gently his head comes around to wrap against her neck. Gently he combs his ivory teeth against her neck. A slow; soft massage if you might call it that. It would be clear that Polar wasn't going anywhere. He was right here with Asphara and that is all that mattered in those moments right now.

Polar felt her tuck close against him and he embraces her. He pulls her to him with a soft whuffle of a sound. Whiskers would dance against her neck as he continues to comb his teeth gently against her flesh. The whispering sound from her is heard. A gracious response for his company and comfort. Honestly though; Polar would have given it to her in any situation. To see another in such a state was agonizing to him. This pretty red mare doesn't deserve this kind of sorrow and pain. No, she didn't. He listens as she explained how her parents were taken from her by nature itself. A fire. Sometimes we couldn't control how it all happened and it still hurt just as much.

Polar heard her state that she meant nothing to anyone around her. How it caused a crater inside of her that could not be parted from. Gently he blows a warm breath of air against the curve of her shoulder as he spoke. "I don't believe that. I don't believe that because you mean something to me." Okay. They may have just met this night but he felt like he knew her. Those blue eyes blew him away. He could see into them and she bore her soul to him. Polar couldn't go. He wouldn't leave this precious mare to her own defenses and sorrow. How could he?

"You deserve what you desire Asphara. You deserve love as much as to be loved. You deserve to have a family as much as anyone." Gently he holds her in that warm and comforting embrace. Polar cannot pull away and he won't until she wishes to shift or move. At the slightest shift of her body from his he would release her from the embrace. Not now though; there is no intention to move right now. "Show me your world. I want to know you and get to know you." He murmured softly against her shoulder before shifting his gentle caress to massage against her neck.
