Mea Culpa. (Open)

MY OWN FAULT.

Life was not what he had expected. Muscles ticked in a strong jaw as eyes of an angry green blazed out over the territory of Paradise. Long legs with feathered hooves struggled to keep from quaking, the urge to run super strong. He did not want to be here in Paradise, but there was a reason he had been stolen in the middle of the night a month or so ago. He had been sleeping well when something dark came up behind him and knocked him out cold and the next time he woke up, he was in Paradise looking up at a large grey shire mare that was far from what the outside world even knew.

Staring out over the land he as forced to live, Rutger held back the anger that coursed through his blood. Rutger had been stolen and placed in a position of power as a sub-lead. Siren’s Symphony had stolen him in the dark of night and was “using” him as leverage against his father. Rutger had messed up when he told her who his father was, not knowing of the battle she was preparing against his sire. Rutger wanted no part of it, but he knew deep down that he was needed here. Well, that was not quite right. Rutger needed this position to gain fighting experience and Siren had oddly enough offered to teach him.

Letting out a deep sigh, Rutger moved down over the territory she had so gracefully given him with a shackle around his throat. He knew if he stepped out of line his life would be ended. If he did as she instructed, he would rise in the knowledge of battle and he would be far better off. Yet, the red roan stallion did not wish to be that strong but he had no choice. Rutger wanted to be free to roam, but this devil in disguise shire mare did not give him a choice. He should be able to escape, but he was not given that opportunity. Siren had said she would tear down every territory on these islands until she found him and slaughtered him right there if he abandoned her and her vision.

So, with that, the red roan moved over the land. His light colored body faintly quivered with every step until he finally was looking out over the ocean. He would be here for the next few years at least, but he would not stay here at the end willingly. Rutger had a plan, one he was needing to speak with his sire about. For now though, Rutger stood there and watched the ocean wistfully, curious if anyone would come join him or if he was really and truly alone as that of Siren’s Synmphonys Central Sword sub-lead stallion.
