Mgt is trying to sell the public on a change and everyone knows viewers don't like change, especially older viewers who like comfort and predictability.
I presume the reason they don't just cancel expensive newscasts is because they get more money on local programming and they just want to cut expenses to increase profits.
What would be better is to find out about sales volume and rate cards. LOtta competition now. Whats the traffic on website weather?
I am surviving very well skipping local news and just leaving cable news on like it was radio.
I think they'll lose viewers and expect to weather that if theyre saving more money than the cost of lower ratings.
America has too many cops and too many newscasts that don't add to people's days. Are they changing the local vs national news mix?
