Spring had come and gone, leaving the last of its cooler days and heading towards warmer ones. An amber champagne mare found herself roaming about her home with her brown eyes gentle as she turned to look at the brightly colored colt at her side. She had vanished for a while, wanting to raise her son and make sure all was well before taking him to meet his sire, something she was working on now as she headed farther into the Inlet territory and shook out her frame. She had been avoiding all of the politics on the island so the mare named Lucine held not even the faintest idea of what had gone down in the Cove.


Lifting her hooves and moving over a stream, Lucine looked behind her and watched as her colt stared at the little creek. It wasn't all too deep, but the youngling had never crossed one before. Lucine was working on getting him better at testing new obstacles already, but a smile faintly twitched at the corners of her lips as she gave him a nicker, wanting him to cross. Her brown eyes gleamed with pride and happiness at this stocky little boy, but she was also proud of him for crossing the water in a jump that was honestly not needed. Yet, she was honestly thankful he figured it out without making her cross again and it had her setting off once more towards the heart of the Inlet to call for Nicodemus.


Once in the heart of her home, Lucine lifted her head and sent out a ringing call to Nicodemus and honestly whoever would want to come meet the newborn. She was not sure if this was Nico’s first child, but she certainly wanted him to be treated with care. If everyone were to meet him, maybe the young Ganon could show these horses how smart he already was. He was a tricky little thing for sure, but he had a mind that had her questioning what greatness he could have in the future.
