"Paradise?" She echoed, momentarily stunned. Of all of the places on the island for this handsome, buff-colored stranger to be from, she would never guessed her birth home. Of course, someone had to have moved in after Temblor left (something she'd learned through rumors), but she would have assumed she would have heard about someone so handsome. After all, more than one mare had swooned after the Arabian brothers had taken the Dunes, or had hearts in their eyes talking about Zevulun. And she knew more than she needed to know about the pretty black stallion of the HIlls, too.
Her eyes crinkled with mirth as he admitted it was his first time away from Paradise and she smirked. "Mine, too, technically." She'd spent the vast majority of her life on the Crossing (one beautiful jaunt to Luthien aside) since her father had taken custody of her, and while she often dreamed of the flower-scented air and the constant chatter of jungle life, she had not seen it for herself in forever. Going back had been expressly forbidden by her father: both because Celestine's choice had badly burned him and because Reh still believed that Rougaru's descendants must linger there, just waiting to eat her up.
"You don't." She said, her smile growing wider. "In fact, you should definitely talk more." Osiris took a playful step forward, eyes bright. "I'm Osiris..." she trailed off for a moment before taking another step forward, delighted to see the nerves on his face if only because it gave her a flush of her own, nervous power. She wanted to be close to him, to touch that downy cheek and see if it was as warm as her own felt. "Are you going to give me yours, or shall I guess?"
