Φιλότιμος γὰρ ἀνὴρ πάντα πάντοτε.

A MAN OF HONOR IS AT ALL TIMES A MAN OF HIS WORD.

Anything he wished her to know… That had the black stallion flicking his ears her way, but he did not avert his attention from where he placed his hooves. The ground was a bit tricky on the beach with the rocks and other things that were around. Voyager did not wish for Halcyon to get injured on her first trip here in the Forest and he would do whatever it took to keep her safe. Call it the instinct in him as a stallion, but his mares were worth more than his own life, no matter how new or old they were to his small haven.

“Well… I tend to be a bit soft with everyone.” He started off, his body slowly moving up the bank before stopping on a flatter are to face Halcyon for a moment. His head tilted slowly as he thought of more words to say, but there were few on how he would talk about himself. He was squishy, soft, and one horse that would turn into a dangerous creature for those he cared about. He was stuck here in regards to his Lagoon friend, but if given the chance he would even go defend the Boss and make sure the red dun was safe.

As her question about why he stopped traveling managed to flit through his mind trying to string a sentence, he found a bit more peace as he turned again once she was up on the flat ground and moved again towards one of his many trails. It edged the Forest territory, but he was thankful he had worked it to the point most dangerous stepping areas were visibly walked around. “I had stopped traveling when I came to the Forest. Bacardi offered me a home as long as I stick to the rules and it's been peaceful ever since. I like to travel, don't get me wrong, but when you have a family to care for you let go of your dreams when it comes to never ending travel.” Most horses would not agree with that, but Voyager was different and it made him something many just turned away from and thought he wasn't what they wanted.

Lifting a leg over an upturned root, Voyager was about to step down when she spoke of Cromer and asked if she was his mate. The stallion's ears pinned faintly, wishing to answer it truthfully but not wanting to really go in depth because his love was certainly a different breed altogether. “Cromer is my lead mare.” Was what he replied with, his head looking over his shoulder as he finally stepped his large hoof onto the ground. “She's the first mare that joined me here and birthed my daughter.” Voyager was thankful for Cromer and always would be, but he had seen her spirit and knew she wanted to roam, but had chosen to stay in a place that was not entirely her cup of tea. “Mind if I ask a few questions?” He wanted to be polite, but he would like to know about this mare as she wished to know about him.
