i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

[takes place after visit to the Bay]

The swim from Tinuvel was long and he was winded by the time he lands ashore of the Prairie, but he doesn�t mind taking his time. Even at his strongest, that level of exertion that had been needed to fight the sea and not land ashore the Peak was intense. He took deep breaths, even laying in the surf for a moment to allow his legs to stop shaking before walking the shoreline in the early surf to cool off his muscles properly. When he found himself near to the border of the Prairie and Forest, he stops and whistles to the notorious stallion Zevulun and the leadership that had begun to shift here.

Zevulun, and rumor had it his chosen son Castillon, were known to him. But what was most promising was the immense number of progeny this Boss Stallion sent out into the world at large. Perhaps he had a colt or two who was in need of training - who might lapse into membership out of a sense of teacher-student loyalty� it was not as though the princes would be hoping for their perfectly healthy crown prince to die out of sheer luck, right?

The stallion Zevulun was known for his goodness, as well as his bevy of women and children, and so it was unlikely that any of them would seek the Lagoon if they had any sense [considering the present state of the view of the Lagoon in the eyes of the world at large]...

Nevermind, he was here to work on that and generally figured at least his respect to remain off dry shore might win him a minute before he was attacked�
