A pleasant thrill of warmth flushed through his veins when she agreed to become a part of his herd. He was pleased to have another capable mare join him and to have the pleasure of watching her young child grow. Perhaps other stallions would not have liked to have a new member arrive with the child of another, but Helios was not that sort. Seeing the birth and first steps of his son Caesarion had struck a chord in him that he would have found hard to explain. The robbing of that moment with his and Starlight's child had been unthinkable. If Hedera wished it, he'd step quickly into a father figure role for the little one. It would be hard to restrain himself if she did not.
He appreciated her strong words acquiescing to heal herd members. She had reasons not to heal the sort of which she spoke. It made the stallion wonder how often Hedera had offered or given help, only for it be to taken for granted or otherwise not appreciated. “Of course, you are free to help any you would see fit to.” A nod raised and lowered his head some. For whatever reason, it felt too much like business now. He snorted softly, a dismissal to the previous atmosphere, and came closer to the mare and filly.
Rich brown eyes took in every inch of them, and Helios would reach his maw forward to Hedera and then to Flying Saucer to exchange breaths and take in their scents. With a new confident smile that lingered warmly on both of them, Helios gestured with his head back toward the rest of the territory. A stray sea wind ruffled the creamy locks of his hair. "If you like, I can show you to the nearest oasis for a respite. I'm sure it was a long journey for you both."
