Not the first time. It happened years ago to stop the local bitching. I've always just said broadcasting's better than making tacos but it pays about the same.
I notice down here, the long shot of a solitary anchor looking at an unmanned studio camera when they take the long shot going into a break. They just cover police reports of petty crimes and putting video and a quick PR bite to social service news releases. Not enough staff to enterprise real news--its a total waste of bandwidth. THey never cover the schools, or education, or industry which I liked o do, considering that TV is really the only source of adult education.
ABC World News Tonights doubling down on women murders, missing dead kids and shark attacks. and the other networks are following suit. I presume ABCs gotten a big ratings bump and NBC and CBS want a piece of that. We had 70 degrees here yesterday but today its overcast and windy so I had to take my flag down.
