The larger stallion was direct in stating what he wanted: a home, a chance. The words made the flaxen male think about his own arrival here in the sands of the Dunes. Hadn't he asked Antares for the same thing? Chestnut ears rotate amidst the mess of his mane. The strands whisper over the skin of his neck and shoulders, caught in a stray salt-laced breeze. A soft snort flares the stallion's dark nostrils as he nods, acquiescing after a little more thought about having a third to watch over the northwestern third of the territory. Even if this is a little more than what Lionheart bargained for, Helios could offer more than a single option.

Lionheart had not waited for a response from the Arabian before bow as low as he could manage. Helios shook his head, grieved to think of how the gashes moved and tore on the stranger. "Don't strain yourself, friend. Please -- rise." Once the other was standing more upright, Helios went on. "If you simply seek a home to raise a family, I can offer you the space to do that safely here as a Household. You could live here, patrol the border as needed, but general be able to leave freely under my domain." The chestnut felt obliged to offer this simpler way for the man to join the ranks in way without as much responsibility, if that was what he sought.

"However," Helios continued, "there is a position as my third available. You would gain control over the northwestern section of the territory and have a herd of your own, but that comes with the added responsibility of watching the borders, protecting all the inhabitants, and other duties as seen fit." Brown eyes narrow on the other stallion out of concern for his likely wavering health. "You can have time to deliberate this, Lionheart, if you'd like to take some time to rest and heal here." The anxiety the thought of a roaming stranger in his lands brought had been quelled some when Helios had observed the extent of the wounds. He could offer rest at least to the wanderer before letting him choose his path.
